AC are proud of their continued progress and improvement.
Achievements so far this year include:
Clubmark
accreditation - 1st athletic club in Staffordshire, 24th in
the country and 1 of only 4 accredited clubs in the Midlands.

International held in Ireland - 3 silver medallists

of England Indoor Combined Events Championships - 2 medallists

Championships - 1 medallist

Championships Trials - 1 TAC representative

English Schools medallists, 22 County Champions with 51
medallists in total.

young athletes maintain position in the National Young Athletes
League, Premier Division

Junior League promoted to Midland Premier Division, Women
1st, Men 1st
- Midland
Women's League and Midland Men's League consolidated their
positions in the 3rd and 1st divisions respectively

maintain position in the Midlands Cross Country League.
- Young
athletes Midlands Cross Country team maintain progression.
They finish 1 place higher, following 9 places higher in
the previous year.

International Race Walker achieves Commonwealth Games selection

Regional Runners-Up. 4 TAC athletes represent Birmingham
in the Finals at the National Indoor Arena

starter 'Reception' squads attracted 111 new athletes between

club members coach on the scheme as volunteers

It
is the aim of TAC to continue to provide the current level
of service to the people of Tamworth and the surrounding areas,
and to further build on its present success.
This
year the club has
- Completed
the cleaning and re-lining of the track and improved security
- Increased
the number of coaches
- Refurbished
the club kitchen
The
club is currently working on
- Further
increasing the number of practising coaches, officials &
volunteers & providing training & mentoring especially
for coaches
- Refurbishment
of the clubhouse toilets and showers
Future
plans include
- Provision
of new indoor centre with indoor straight, jumping and throwing
areas
- New
storage facilities for equipment
- New
hammer cage and pole vault bed
