Tamworth AC's Midland Men's A team won the Division Two League Championships as they won their final match of the season at Tipton.
The win gives the Tamworth club promotion to the Midlands League top division for next season.
Personal bests were recorded by Adam Smith (100m), Simon King (3,000m steeplechase), Howard Bush (3,000m steeplechase) and Alex Berrow (hammer).
Smith ran the fastest time of the season by any Tamworth athlete when he clocked 11.2secs for second place in the 100m event.
Smith also won the long jump with a leap of 6.03m, the triple jump with a distance of 13.28m and took fourth place in the high jump with a clearance of 1.70m.
King finished in third place in the 3,000m steeplechase in 10:38.4mins and fourth in the 1,500m in 4:21.4mins while Bush claimed first place in the B 3,000m steeplechase in 10:54.2mins.
Berrow won the hammer with a throw of 48.61m, took fifth place in the shot with 11.37m and sixth in the discus with a throw of 24.34m.
Brett Byrd won the javelin with a throw of 57.81m and took fourth place in his shot with 9.75m.
Dan Cash won the 200m in 23secs, the B high jump with a clearance of 1.65m and took second place in the 400m in 51.1secs.
Tom Burton won the 400m hurdles in 58.5secs, his 200m in 23secs and claimed sixth place in the 100m in 11.8secs.
John Jenkins won his 400m in 53secs and Tom Hardman was victorious in his javelin with a throw of 45.90m.
Paul Tasker won the 1,500m in 4:25.0mins and took third place in the 800m in a time of 2:4.3mins.
Matty James picked up two good first places with a win in his 400m hurdles in 1.0:2mins and the 110m hurdles in 19.8secs.
He also took sixth place in the discus with a throw of 19.68m.
Ricky Hallam finished in second place in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.80m, another second in the triple jump with a distance of 10.72m, fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.01m and completed a busy afternoon with fifth place in the 110m hurdles in a time of 20.2secs.
Marcus Yoxall took third place in his hammer competition with a throw of 25.19m with Martin Naunton third in the 3,000m in 9:32.8mins and seventh in the 800m in 2:18.8mins.
Carl Dunne completed a very good team effort by clocking 11:0.2mins for sixth place in the B 3,000m.

Tamworth Ac Men's B team secured fifth place in Division Four of the Midland Men's League.
At the final meeting in Telford, personal bests went to Dave Williams (110m hurdles, pole vault and hammer), Tom Challis (100m and 200m), Sam Micklewright (800m and 1,500m) and Ben Horsley (100m).
Williams played a valuable part in the team's performance by taking part in six individual events.
He took second place in the 400m hurdles and 110m hurdles, was fifth in the 3,000m steeplechase in 11:56.7mins, fifth in the 1,500m in 5:21.3mins and seventh in the pole vault and hammer.
Challis clocked 11.6secs in the 100m for fifth place, 23.9secs in the 200m for another fifth place and took sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.45m.
Micklewright finished fifth in the 800m in 2:18.9mins and sixth in the 1,500m in 4:47.3mins.
Horsley took third place in the 200m in 23.3secs, fifth in the 100m in 11.5secs and fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.11m.
Neil Rudd chalked up good points for the team with fourth place in the 400m hurdles, fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.01m, another fifth place in the 110m hurdles in 22.1secs and sixth in the 400m in 57.1secs.
Dave Levett took third place in the hammer with a throw of 31.23m, sixth in the discus with a throw of 25.03m, seventh in the shot with 8.42m and the javelin with a throw of 7.23m to also gain valuable points for the team.
Chris Smith was fourth in the discus with a throw of 18.90m, sixth in the shot with 7.23m and seventh in the javelin with a throw of 32.89m.
Ben Storey took sixth place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.0m, seventh in the long jump with a distance of 5.34m.
Storey was also seventh in the high jump with a clearance of 1.50m.
Nick Wilkins finished in sixth place in the 400m in 56.1secs, with Tom Orton seventh in the A 3,000m in 10:52.1mins.
Nigel Fisher was sixth in the B 3,000m when he clocked 11:35.0mins.

Tamworth AC's National Junior League team ensured their Premier Division status for next year as they finished in fourth place overall.
Club records went to Meghan Jacobs (1,500m steeplechase), Hannah Sargeant (100m hurdles) and Alex Berrow (shot) in the final meeting in Tipton.
Personal bests were also set by Amy Williams (1,500m steeplechase), Sargeant (400m hurdles), Faye McCabe (400m hurdles), Rose Williams (triple jump), Jenny Evans (triple jump) and Emily Field-Lucas (discus).
Simon King (800m), Tom Challis (high jump), Ben Horsley (triple jump), Sean Gynane (triple jump) and Marcus Yoxall (shot, discus and hammer) also improved their previous bests.
Jacobs took third place in the 1,500m steeplechase in 5:55.1mins and fourth in the discus with a throw of 14.26m.
Sargeant finished in third place in the 400m hurdles as well as the high jump and finished sixth in the 100m hurdles in 17.2secs.
Berrow took second place in the hammer with a throw of 55.16m, third in the shot with 12.54m and fifth in the discus with a throw of 29.97m.
Yoxall finished in fourth place in the discus with a throw of 20.66m, fifth in the shot with 7.83m and recorded a throw of 29.92m in the hammer, taking part as a guest competitor.
Amy Williams finished in second place in her 1,500m steeplechase in 6:31.2mins and fifth in the 400m in 78.3secs.
King took second place in the 2,000m steeplechase in a time of 6:48.7mins and third in the 800m in 1:56.7mins.
Horsley finished in fifth place in the 200m in 23.8secs, sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.62m and seventh in the 100m in 12.1secs.
Challis, on his debut in this league, took seventh place in the high jump with a personal best equalling clearance of 1.55m and eighth in the 400m in a useful time of 52.8secs.
McCabe took fourth place in the shot with a putt of 7.03m, another fourth in the javelin with a throw of 17.95m and fifth in the 400m hurdles.
Rose Williams finished in fifth place in the long jump with a distance of 3.87m and sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.20m.
Evans took fourth place in her triple jump with a distance of 8.41m and seventh place in the shot with 5.98m.
Gynane finished in third place in his triple jump with a leap of 11.40m, fourth in the 3,000m in 10:21.6mins and sixth in the 1,500m in 5:12.9mins.
Field-Lucas took fourth place in the 3,000m in 12:11.3mins, seventh in the discus with a throw of 17.05m and seventh in the 1,500m in a time of 5:41.6mins.
First places in the Tamworth squad went to Tom Adams, Tom Burton, Daniel Cash and Liam Wheeler.
Adams won the 3,000m in 9:14.5mins and the 2,000m steeplechase in 6:26.0mins.
Burton won the 400m hurdles in 57.1secs, took second place in the 110m hurdles and third in the 100m in 11.7secs.
Cash finished in first place in his 400m in 51.1secs, fifth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.40m and also took second place in the 200m in 23.2secs.
Wheeler won his javelin event with a throw of 35.37m.
Hollie Owen took second place in the 400m in a time of 58.4secs, fourth in the 200m in 27secs and eighth in the hammer with a throw of 14.32m.
Chris Smith took third place in his javelin with a throw of 36.57m and fifth in the long jump with a distance of 4.80m.
Ethan Jones was third in the 400m hurdles in 63.7secs and fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.46m.
Steve Harris finished in fifth place in his 800m in 2:10.4secs and eighth in the 1,500m in 5:12.5mins.
Laura Taylor cleared 1.40m for third place in the high jump, finished in fifth place in the 200m in 28.2secs and eighth in the 100m in 13.4secs.
Ashley Smethan took fourth place in the hammer with a throw of 28.58m, Liz Checkley seventh in the javelin with a throw of 18.30m and Elyse Jinks fourth in the 3,000m with a time of 12:41.0mins.
Laura Lewis took fifth place in the 800m in a time of 2:52.5mins and another fifth in the 1,500m in 6:6.1mins with Keeley Thorne sixth in her 800m in 2:36.9mins.
Sarah Williams picked up useful points for the team with fourth place in the pole vault with a clearance of 2.50m, fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.62m, fifth in the hammer with a throw of 13.37m and seventh in the 100m in 14.9secs.
Mike Pierpoint sustained an injury in the men's pole vault, resulting in a hospital visit. The club wish him a speedy recovery.

Tamworth's young athletes produced their best team performance of the season when they finished in second place in their Premier Division fixture at the town stadium.
In the under-15 boys' age group, personal bests went to Luke Roughley (800m and 400m), Jordan Roach (high jump and 80m hurdles), Richard Mahoney (1,500m and javelin), Brett Cash (pole vault), Jack Childs (1,500m) and Josh Leaver (80m hurdles).
Roughley won the athlete of the match award for his performance in winning the 800m in 2:6.0mins.
He went on to take second place in the 400m in 56.2secs and another runners-up place in the javelin with a throw of 26.87m.
Another athlete producing top class performances was Roach who won the high jump with a clearance of 1.85m - the second best jump in the country by an under-15 boy this year.
Roach also won the 80m hurdles in 12.9secs and took second place in the pole vault with a vault of 2m.
Richard Mahoney took third place in his 1,500m in a time of 5:2.9mins and repeated the feat in the javelin with a throw of 12.80m.
Cash won his pole vault with a clearance of 2m and Childs took third place in the 1,500m in 5:9.2mins.
Leaver finished in third place in the 400m and the 80m hurdles and fourth in the discus with a throw of 12.57m.
Newcomer Matt Gough won his hammer with a throw of 13.04m, took third place in the 200m in 26.0secs and fourth in the 100m in 13.2secs.
Newcomer Jamell Newill took second place in the shot with 8.77m, third in the hammer with a throw of 17.07m and fourth in the long jump with a distance of 4.75m.
Adam McGee took third place in his hammer with a throw of 12.21m, fourth in the 100m in 13.4secs and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.26m.
Another newcomer, Matt Minshull, was fourth in the 200m in 27.5secs.
In the under-15 girls, personal bests were recorded by Rhiannon John (javelin and discus), Milly Kellyman (long jump), Nicole King (800m), Danielle Norton (shot), Leanne Lewis (javelin), Maddy Brown (800m) and Sam Storey (discus).
John won the javelin with a throw of 19.85m and took second place in the discus with a throw of 16.16m.
Kellyman finished in second place in the 100m in 13.4secs, second in the 200m in 28.9secs and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.34m.
King took second place in the 75m hurdles in 14.5secs, third in the 800m in a time of 2:34.0mins, and fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.20m.
Norton finished in second place in the 100m in 14.4secs and fourth in the shot with 5.39m.
Lewis took second place in her javelin with 8.32m and third in her 1,500m in 6:38.4mins.
Brown finished in fourth place in the 800m in 2:42.6mins and Storey second in the discus with a throw of 13.26m, fourth in the shot with a putt of 5.53m and fourth in the 75m hurdles in 14.2secs.
Lauren Saunders took second place in the 200m in 29.9secs, Lauren Mann second in the 1,500m in 5:26.2mins, and Chloe Saunders third in the long jump with a distance of 3.67m.
In the under-13 boys, personal bests were gained by Elliott Jones (high jump) and Ricky Hawkes (800m).
Jones finished in second place in the high jump with a clearance of 1.25m, third in the shot with 6.05m and fourth in the 100m in a time of 15.2secs.
Hawkes took second place in his 800m in 2:50.2mins and third in the 75m hurdles in 17.1secs.
Oliver Wood took second place in the 1,500m in 5:39.4mins, another second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.20m and fourth in the long jump with a leap of 3.48m.
Kristian Edwards finished in second place in the 1,500m in a time of 4:55.3mins and fourth in the long jump with 3.73m.
Keir Hatton took second place in the 75m hurdles in 15.3secs and third in the 200m in 32.1secs.
Max Leaver finished in third place in his 200m in 31.2secs and fourth in the 100m in 14.9secs.
Aiden Blythe finished in fourth place in the 800m in 2:45.2mins with Oliver Williscroft also in fourth place in the shot with a putt of 4.80m.
Personal bests in the under-13 girls group went to Louisa Facchino-Stack (75m and 150m), Corrine Blythe (70m hurdles) and Charlotte Weston (long jump).
Facchino-Stack finished in second place in the 150m in 20.8secs, runner-up in the 75m in 10.7secs and third in the shot with 5.40m.
Blythe won the 70m hurdles in 14secs and took second place in the 1,200m in 4:24.6mins.
Weston won her long jump with a leap of 3.79m, Lauren Whitehouse won her 75m in 11.0secs and Francesa Hughes also took first place in her 150m in a time of 21.5secs.
Eloise Redfern won the 70m hurdles in 12.7secs, finished in second place in the 800m in 2:44.7mins, and another second in the long jump with a distance of 4.07m.
Samantha Lawton picked up second places in the shot with 5.28m and the high jump with a clearance of 1.10m.
Jasmine Oliver took third place in the 800m with a time of 2:56.4mins and Danielle Cassar also third in the high jump with a clearance of 1.10m.
Another newcomer to the team, Bethany Puffett finished in third place in the 1,200m in 4:43.9mins.
In the under-17 men's events, Liam Wheeler (javelin and hammer), Tom Challis (400m) and Chris Boden (800m) recorded personal bests.
Wheeler won the javelin with a throw of 37.52m, took third place in the hammer with a throw of 19.23m and third in the shot with 6.91m.
Challis won the 200m in 24.4secs, took second place in the 400m in 51.8secs and fourth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.50m.
Boden won his 800m in a time of 2:7.4mins, took third place in the 400m in 57.7secs and fourth in the discus with a throw of 11.56m.
Ethan Jones finished in second place in the 400m hurdles, second in the high jump with 1.45m and yet another second in the long jump with a leap of 5.62m.
Ben Horsley took second place in the 100m in 12.1secs, second in the 200m in 24.4secs and third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.06m.
Steve Harris finished in second place in the 800m in 2:5.9mins, runner-up in the hammer and fourth in the 1,500m steeplechase in a time of 5:21.4mins.
Jacob Powell took second place in the long jump with a leap of 4.76m, third in the 100m in 12.8secs and third in the 400m hurdles in 72.2secs.
Chris Smith won his javelin with a throw of 35.2m, finished in third place in the discus with a throw of 23.08m and was third in the shot with 8.54m.
Matty Wood took second place in the 1,500m steeplechase in a time of 6:26.0mins, fourth in the 3,000m in 10:12.5mins and fourth in the triple jump with 9.12m.
Picking up personal bests in the under-17 women's events were Rose Williams (80m hurdles and triple jump) and Frances John (javelin).
Williams won the triple jump with a distance of 9.18m and took second place in the 80m hurdles in 15.3secs.
John won the discus with a throw of 14.06m and finished in third place in the javelin with a throw of 23.26m.
Hannah Sargeant had her usual busy afternoon finishing in second place in the 300m hurdles in 15.4secs, third in the 80m hurdles in 13.8secs and third in the high jump with a clearance of 1.40m.
Georgia Lorraine took second place in the 300m in 47secs and third in the long jump with a leap of 3.87m.
Faye McCabe was second in the 300m hurdles in 63.5secs, third in the javelin with a throw of 20.55m and fourth in the discus with a throw of 17.72m.
Jenni Evans took second place in her triple jump with a distance of 8.14m, and fourth in the shot with 5.53m.
Amy Williams was second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.25m and Elyse Jinks came third in the 100m in 16.7secs and third in the 3,000m in a time of 12:28.9mins.
Laura Lewis finished in third place in the 800m in 2:54.1mins and fourth in the 1,500m in 6:17.5mins.
Alyson Bird took second place in her 1,500m in 6:37.9mins, fourth in the 100m in 16.2secs and fourth in the 200m in 32.3secs.

| Please go to the Reports section for full results and report Hammer Throwers Set Ladies on Their Way The rain that the athletes had to endure at the second match in Division Two of the Midland Women's League seemed more like what would be expected during the cross-country season, writes Sarah Williams.
However, the Tamworth team performed well in difficult conditions and finished fifth overall among very competitive teams.
The first event was the senior hammer throw with Alana Smetham and Gemma Wheelhouse getting the club off to a good start, finishing second and third with throws of 37.44m and 20.75m respectively.
Wheelhouse also went on to take second in the shot putt with a throw of 9.25m and was fourth in the discus and sixth place in the javelin.
Another athlete with a very busy day was Rebecca Hallam, who finished second in the 400m hurdles, fourth in the high jump and sixth in the 400m.
She was joined in the 400m by Georgia Lorraine, who came second in her race.
Amy Frith and Katherine Snowdon both scored valuable points for the team, finishing third and fifth respectively in the 800m in times of 2:22.0mins and 2:39.5mins.
The pair also finished fifth and sixth in their 200m races and Frith took fifth place in the triple jump.
Despite the strong competition in the distance races, Rebecca Smith ran well in both the 1,500m and the 3,000m, clocking 5:31.1mins and 11:26.7mins respectively, finishing sixth in both.
She was joined in the 3,000m by Amy Williams who finished third in her race in a time of 13:03.1mins.
In the 100m, Sarah Williams and Liz Checkley finished in sixth and third place respectively with times of 14.2secs and 14.9secs.
Checkley also finished fifth in the 400m hurdles and Williams leapt 4.64m for second in the long jump.
Charlotte McDonough also jumped well, despite the unfavourable conditions, winning her long jump with 4.43m and coming fourth in the triple jump with 9.64m.
Completing the senior events, Claire Perry threw well in a strong field in the javelin, throwing 23.10m for fifth place. She was also fifth in the discus.
In the younger age groups, the athletes' spirits were not dampened by the miserable weather conditions.
In the under-17s section, Faye McCabe completed a hat-trick of events, finishing second in the shot with 7.56m, third in the 300m hurdles and fifth in the javelin.
Hannah Sargeant also ran well, gaining fifth in her 300m hurdles race and finishing third in the 80m hurdles.
She also high jumped 1.40m for fifth place.
In the sprints, Danielle Marczak and Keeley Thorne finished fourth and fifth in their 100m races in times of 13.6secs and 14.6secs.
The pair also finished second and fourth respectively in the 200m.
Elyse Jinks also competed well, finishing sixth in the 1,500m in 5:39.7mins, and taking sixth place in the long jump.
In the under-15 age group, many of the athletes were only in their first year in this age group but still competed strongly against the opposition.
Danielle Norton ran in both the sprints, finishing sixth in the 100m, the 200m and the long jump.
Lauren Saunders and Chloe Saunders also performed well.
Chloe was third in her 100m race in 14.4secs and fifth in the discus with a throw of 8m, as well as leaping 3.53m for fifth place in the long jump.
Lauren finished fifth in both the 200m and the shot putt, where she ran 30secs and threw 5.19m.
Sally Warren also cleared 1.15m in the high jump to finish fifth.
Nicole King and Josie Cassar both finished third in their 800m races, and Nicole also ran well in the 80m hurdles, clocking 14.9secs for fifth place.
Also in the 1,500m race, Lauren Mann and Sophie Oldfield both finished in fourth place, running 5:25.6mins and 6:58.8mins respectively.
